The Fitness Assessment and Consultation provides you with a detailed profile of your current fitness state. Each fitness assessment and consultation will last approximately 40 minutes. During this time a certified fitness specialist will lead you through a series of fitness tests that include:

  • Resting vital signs
  • Body composition
  • Cardiorespiratory endurance
  • Muscular strength and endurance
  • Flexibility

The fitness specialist then provides a complete explanation of your results, a computer printout, and your exercise recommendations. All assessment information is stored and organized to let you track your progress.

The purposes of a fitness assessment include: helping develop accurate exercise recommendations, charting progress, motivation by establishing reasonable fitness goals, and education on the concepts of physical fitness.
