When is the Pharmacy open? top
The IUHC Pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Special hours are in effect on days when classes are not in session (i.e., Christmas, Thanksgiving.)
Will I be able to speak to a pharmacist? top
The IUHC Pharmacy has three full time pharmacists available to answer your questions about your medications.
Cheryl Thomas, R.Ph., the director of the pharmacy, is a graduate of Butler University and has been with IU since August 1994.
Mike Hoffman, R.Ph., has been with IU since April 1995
Mike Mitchell, R.Ph. since March 1996 and both are graduates of Purdue University.
The IU Health Center Pharmacy also staffs several licensed pharmacy technicians, Roberta Mank, Doreen Salyers, Mary Beth Mitchell, and Regina Schrougham.
Do you accept prescription cards? top
The IUHC Pharmacy currently accepts many different prescription cards. We encourage you to bring in your card or a photocopy of the card for us to see. If we are unable to process your prescription cards directly on line, you may visit another pharmacy in town which can process it or you may use our duplicate insurance receipts for secondary reimbursement from your insurer.
If you are currently enrolled at Indiana University, Bloomington Campus and in good standing with the bursar, the copay for your prescription card may be placed on your bursar account.
Do you give discounts for students? top
As a member of a multi-state buying group, the IUHC Pharmacy has contracts for many of the items available to the patient.

Filling Prescriptions from the Health Center or from another doctor top
The IUHC Pharmacy is a retail pharmacy for the students of Indiana University, Bloomington Campus. We can fill your prescription from any licensed prescriber in the U.S.
Re-filling Presecriptions top
If you have a prescription with valid refills at another pharmacy, we can transfer those refills to the IUHC Pharmacy. Bring us your prescription label from the pharmacy and we will do the rest, usually as you wait!
How do I pick up refills on my prescription?
You have several options for obtaining refills at the IUHC Pharmacy. You may call ahead for same day refill orders. Telephone
(812) 855-3865 and we will have the prescription ready in an hour.
You will only need your ID number and the name of your prescription medication or the refill number from your label to order the refill.
Do you have cough drops, Nyquil and similar items? top
Yes! The IUHC Pharmacy stocks various over-the-counter items commonly used and requested by students. Cough and cold medicines, eye drops, nose sprays, antibiotic creams, contraceptives such as condoms and VCF, contraceptive jelly, vaginal yeast preparations, nicotine patches, vitamins, moisturizers, soaps and even sunscreen. As with prescriptions, all eligible students may bill their bursar accounts for any items over $5.00.
