Radiology

In our Radiology Department, we perform routine diagnostic x-rays. We accept x-ray orders from our IUHC providers as well as from outside providers such as the students' home doctors. We do not accept orders from chiropractors. Most of our x-rays are first reviewed by our providers. All of our x-rays are sent to Fort Wayne Radiology for reading by board certified radiologists. The reports are returned to us within 24 hours or sooner.

Our department has up-to-date equipment. We now take digital images. If a student needs to take their x-rays with them, we can copy the images to a CD. Our equipment is inspected yearly and is in compliance with the state of Indiana requirements.

We have two x-ray technologists in our department, Sheryl Richard, RT and Annie Capps. Both are certified radiology equipment operators for the state of Indiana. We do our best to obtain optimal images with minimum radiation exposure to the patients.
