Upload your insurance informationSpecial notice for CAPS clients
All IU students who have paid the student health fee receive two free Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) counseling visits each semester. If you’re a first-time client, you’ll also receive one free, 30-minute CAPS Now assessment to connect you to the best CAPS service(s) to meet your needs. Although these initial visits are at no cost to you, your health insurance will still be billed for its portion of the visit’s cost. If you do not want your health insurance billed and wish to keep these visits confidential, please notify either your CAPS counselor or one of our cashiers when you check out. You can still use your insurance for medical visits, but we will need to know when you don’t want your CAPS visit billed at each visit.
Please note: Once you have used your free visits, IU students paying the student health fee will be charged $25 per CAPS counseling visit, which is separate from what is normally billed to your insurance.
