Meet Your Medical Team

The doctors are in. At the IU Health Center, our specialty is treating college-aged patients. Our doctors are experts in treating the health problems that affect you. That includes unexpected sprains and broken bones or the occasional bout of strep throat or mono. We can also help you manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, allergies, or asthma.

Nurse Practitioners

Our NPs provide primary care, specializing in college health. NPs assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, and initiate and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications. The NPs are RNs with master’s degrees for advanced practice and hold Indiana licenses and national certifications. They work in collaboration with the physicians.

Physician Assistants

At IU Health Center, you may be treated by a physician assistant. Physician assistants are trained and licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician. Generally, physician assistants have a two-year master's degree in health science or a related field. Physician assistants can diagnose and treat chronic or acute illnesses, prescribe medications, order lab tests, and assist in minor surgeries.
