Accreditation
IU Student Health Center has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). To ensure that the IU Student Health Center continues to offer the highest standards of medical and mental health care, it undergoes AAAHC re-accreditation every three years.
Accreditation is the result of a rigorous two-day inspection conducted by two health care professionals. They measure IU Student Health Center’s performance against 644 nationally recognized standards for care. Their report is reviewed by a committee, whose recommendations are decided by the accrediting board. That board can decide to offer full accreditation of three years or deny accreditation entirely to the organization.
Following its 2022 survey, the AAAHC awarded IU Student Health Center a full three-year re-accreditation for the tenth time running.
