Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

If you're a first-time client to CAPS, you'll receive one free, 30-minute CAPS Now appointment to connect you to appropriate services. You can schedule this online or by calling 812-855-5711. You can request immediate help during business hours by coming to the fourth floor and asking for emergency service.

After hours and emergencies

Have a problem when we’re not open? If it’s an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. Otherwise, we can still help you.

For everyone

As an IU student, you’re required to have certain immunizations. Find out what they are and how to prove you’re compliant.

If you’re under 18

We need to have your parent or guardian’s permission to treat you at the Health Center. Make sure they fill out the online Consent for Medical Treatment of a Minor form.

If you have a chronic illness

Have your current health care provider fax a letter including a list of your current medications to us at 812-855-4245, or make an appointment with one of our physicians when you get to campus. This will help ensure that you get the care you need while you’re here.

IU Health is not the Student Health Center

Indiana University’s Student Health Center is not affiliated with Indiana University Health (IU Health), its hospitals, its urgent care clinics, or its physicians.

The health fee you pay as an IU Bloomington student will not cover treatment you receive through any IU Health facility.
