How to make a Student Health Center appointment
If you’re new to making appointments at the Student Health Center, let us guide you through the process.
Step one: Get the info

The Student Health Center contracts with a number of health insurers and will bill for all services, including CAPS visits, if you have not paid the Student Health Fee. Be sure to have your information ready when scheduling online. IMPORTANT: If you do not want your insurance billed, please let us know.
Step four: Make your appointment

For many medical appointments we have a convenient online scheduling option. You must have an IU username and password to use this service.

Call us if:
- You need to schedule a CAPS appointment (812-855-5711)
- You’re unable to find your visit reason in the online scheduler
- You just prefer to talk to someone
Step five: Arrive 15 minutes early
In order to complete pre-appointment paperwork, we ask that you arrive at the Student Health Center 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
Choose the right appointment type
If you schedule online, make sure you’re scheduling the correct service. Need to see a medical provider? You’ll want an appointment with the medical clinic.
