Required Immunizations

Learn about IU’s immunization requirements

All first-year students are required to be immunization compliant. You won't be allowed to register for the following semester until all requirements are met in your Med+Proctor account.

New to the 2021-2022 academic year – all students are required to complete a World Health Organization (WHO) or approved COVID-19 vaccine series or file an exemption.

Luckily, we’re here to help you get compliant. We can provide immunization shots you still need, including COVID-19, and we also handle required TB testing for incoming international students.

Incoming International Students: Please make an appointment during our International Student Immunization Compliance Clinic for all services August 9-13, 2021.

IMPORTANT: If you will need the COVID-19 vaccine upon arrival to the U.S., please DO NOT get the COVID-19 vaccine until after your immunization compliance appointment. TB testing must be done prior to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, and we can do both at your Immunization Compliance appointment.

Choose “Immunization Compliance” as your visit reason for any and all registrar-required immunizations or testing.
