Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has been accredited by the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS). IACS is committed to advancing quality in student mental health care on higher academic campuses worldwide. Accreditation from IACS confirms the highest standards are being met ... validates professional excellence ... and distinguishes standout counseling centers.
To ensure that CAPS continues to offer the highest standards of mental health care, it undergoes re-accreditation every eight years.
Accreditation is the result of a tiered review process that consists of an in-depth application, board review, site visit, and final board review/approval. Once accredited, CAPS is required to submit IACS annual report materials each year and to undergo a re-evaluation, including a site visit, every eight years.
