Emergency & After Hours

Think of the Student Health Center first—even at 2 a.m.

Unless you’re having a life-threatening emergency, you should always come to the Student Health Center for help. Even if we’re closed, our after-hours lines can help point you in the right direction.

Can’t wait till we’re open, but it’s not really an emergency? Call us before you do anything else. We’re always happy to help you get the care you need.

When to call or text 911

If you or someone else is having a medical emergency, call 911 right away. If you are under age and under the influence, Indiana’s Lifeline Law assures that you will not be prosecuted if you report a crime or request emergency medical assistance.

IU Health is not the Student Health Center

Indiana University’s Student Health Center is not affiliated with Indiana University Health (IU Health), its hospitals, its urgent care clinics, or its physicians.

The health fee you pay as an IU Bloomington student will not cover treatment you receive through any IU Health facility.
