About Nayoung
Nayoung joined CAPS as a practicum clinician in 2024 and uses she/her pronouns. She holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the Counseling Psychology program at Indiana University. Prior to this, Nayoung worked with college students in South Korea at the Sungshin Women's University Student Counseling Center and the Sungkyunkwan University Human Rights Center. Currently, Nayoung enjoys working with a diverse population of college students from both Eastern and Western backgrounds, and she offers counseling services in both English and Korean.
Nayoung's therapeutic approach focuses on positive psychological interventions and strength-based therapy. Her areas of interest include self-esteem, self-image, interpersonal issues, social anxiety, burnout prevention and management, overworking, and performance anxiety.
In her free time, Nayoung enjoys playing group tennis, swimming, running, practicing yoga, and the most importantly, relaxing at home with Netflix.
