About Conner
Conner grew up in southern Indiana and lived in a very rural small town for all his upbringing. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, obtaining a Bachelor of Social Work degree with a minor in Psychology. As an undergrad, Conner was heavily involved in campus life where he worked as a Resident Assistant, participated in Greek Life, served as a Peer Mentor, and participated in many volunteer organizations. Conner attended Indiana University, Bloomington for graduate school, earning a Master of Social Work with a concentration on Mental Health and Addiction. He was a practicum student for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) during his graduate program. Conner was the first Victim Advocate and Social Worker to work full-time with the Indiana University Police Department before returning to CAPS.
Conner's approach to counseling is focused on Systems Theory; Empowerment Theory; Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; and Strengths Perspective. He loves and believes these are some of the best perspectives for working with college students.
