About Jennifer
Jennifer joined CAPS as a full-time staff member in Fall 2021. She holds a doctorate in counseling psychology, has worked in various settings, but has found her stride within the college counseling setting after completing her predoctoral internship at IU CAPS and her postdoctoral residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She loves working with college students as it’s an ever-changing period in students’ lives.
Jennifer practices from an interpersonal and feminist approach while incorporating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy. Her clinical practice and research interests include (but aren’t limited to): grief and loss; body image issues; depression; trauma; gender issues; stressors faced by athletes (particularly related to body satisfaction); supervision and training; and multicultural/cross-cultural concerns.
Outside of her identity as a psychologist, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her spouse, family, and her dog niece. Jennifer also enjoys sports, reading, connecting with fellow Harry Potter fans, planning her next Disney trips, watching movies, and listening to music.
